Encoding of .pas files

This week I would like to talk about the encoding of .pas files. Normally they are ANSI encoded which is no problem since all Delphi statements are ASCII encoded. But the exception are comments. Many developers overlook this issue, but … Continue reading

Orpheus

I fixed several minor bugs in Orpheus according to Win64 and Unicode. Embarcadero has updated GetIt. I have the impression that still many people are using this library which I have seen for the first time with Delphi 2.

As I mentioned yesterday, pyscripter joined the TurboPack team. He maintains not only SynEdit but also the Mustangpeak libs. That’s why I merged the different Mustangpeak forks and pushed them to Turbo pack. Many thanks again for your help and … Continue reading

PNG Components

I synchronized the Turbo Pack PNG components with these ones. I also added an explicit cpp output dir for the hpp files. During installation with GetIt, the IDE now compiles the components and creates the necessary hpp files, so that … Continue reading

Virtual Tree View

I just synchronized the Virtual Tree View with the official version. Both libraries are nearly the same, but the names of the packages are slightly different. GetIt deploys the TurboPack version, that is now also up-to-date.
